Wheel Loader

A wheel loader, also called a front end loader or bucket loader, is one of the most commonly used heavy equipment machine in the construction industry. It is mainly used to load various kinds of materials (asphalt, demolition debris, dirt, feed, gravel, logs, raw minerals, recycled material, rock, sand, wood chips, etc.) into or onto another type of machinery, such as dump truck, conveyor belt, feed-hopper, rail-car, and more. In construction areas wheel loaders are also used for transporting building materials over short distances, such as bricks, pipe, metal bars, and digging tools.

Wheel loaders are remarkable for their versatility and payload capacity to perform multiple tasks at a low cost. They are commonly used in many construction applications, including material handling, digging, load-and-carry, road building, and site preparation.

Although track loaders are common, most loaders are wheeled and not tracked, unlike most bulldozers. The loaders are successful where sharp edged materials in construction debris would damage rubber wheels, or where the ground is soft and muddy. Compared with tracks, wheels provide better mobility and speed and do not damage paved roads.

Wheel loader today is composed of a pivoted frame, usually articulated, with the engine mounted over the rear wheels, and a cab or canopy resting over the front or rear end frame. The pivot arrangement of the machine is key in giving the wheel loader the capability to maneuver and work in small turning circles. Wheel loaders are classified into different types by their horsepower. Compact wheel loaders are loaders with 80 horsepower or less, and then the classification is broken down accordingly from 80 to 150 horsepower, 150 to 200 horsepower and 200 to 250 horsepower.

Power is supplied from a diesel engine through a torque converter and power shift gears to drive the wheels. Most wheel loaders are operated in four-wheel drive that requires all wheels are at the same size but the machines can be operated in two-wheel drive too. Rear wheel drive improves the machine's digging capability while front wheel drive enables better traction when carrying a full bucket.

Sinoway can supply all kinds of wheel loaders, with payload from 1 ton to 7 ton. They use CAT or Cummins engine, ZF transmission, Meritor drive axle. Models include SWL10F, SWL20F, SWL30, SWL30F, SWL40, SWL40F, SWL50D, SWL50E, SWL50F, SWL60, SWL60F and SWL75F.
